Planters & Borders
Stone Planters and Border Set
A coordinated set of natural-stone planters and matching border pieces for flower beds and garden edges. Each piece ages gracefully outdoors.
Paving · ¥17,800
Natural granite paving stones for a walkway, terrace, or seating area — selected for consistent thickness and a surface that holds underfoot in all weather. Supplied with everything needed to lay them well.
What This Delivers
A well-laid granite path does something that other surfaces rarely manage: it becomes part of the garden. Not a feature to maintain, not a project to revisit. It is there, it is level, and it handles whatever the season brings without asking for attention.
The stones in this package are chosen for consistent thickness across the run — a detail that matters more than it sounds during laying, and more again underfoot once the path is finished. Uneven paving announces itself with every step. Even paving disappears.
What Brought You Here
Bark chips compact and need topping up. Stepping stones placed informally shift when the ground moves. Concrete sets flat and stays flat, but it weathers in a way that most gardens outgrow. Each of these answers the short-term question without quite resolving it.
Granite paving is a different category of answer. The time and effort it takes to lay well is real, but it is a one-time effort for a surface that does not need revisiting. The work is in the preparation — not in the years that follow.
This package is suited to someone who has reached that conclusion and wants the material to match the intention: something laid with care that becomes a lasting part of the garden.
Situations This Suits Well
The Approach
The stones in this package are selected from the same quarry run so thickness and grain character are consistent across the set. This matters practically during laying — mixed thickness requires constant adjustment underfoot — and visually once the path is finished.
Edge pieces are included as part of the package, not an addition. A path that terminates without a proper edge piece tends to look unresolved. The laying guide addresses this specifically, with notes on how to finish cleanly at the start and end of a run.
Surface Finish
Lightly textured top face for grip in wet conditions. Natural granite surface — not treated or sealed. Side faces are sawn for clean joints.
Thickness Consistency
Stones are graded to consistent thickness before packing. Variation within the set is within standard tolerance for a level installation.
Edge Pieces
Matching granite edge units are included to close the path at each end and along any exposed lateral edge — part of the package, not an add-on.
What to Expect
Most paving projects follow a similar sequence. Knowing that sequence in advance makes the work calmer and the result more reliable.
Rough dimensions of the path or terrace and any notes about the existing ground surface. A photograph is helpful but not required.
We reply with a quantity suggestion based on your dimensions, notes on base preparation for your ground type, and confirmation of what's included.
Paving units, edge pieces, and written laying guide arrive together. The guide covers base depth, bedding, joint spacing, and finishing — in plain terms.
Granite paving can be laid in sections over days or weeks. Questions during the process are welcome and answered specifically.
Investment
Total Investment
¥17,800
For the complete package as described below.
A granite path is priced once and benefits from for decades. The material does not require sealing, staining, or replacing. The time put into a careful first installation is the maintenance budget for the life of the path.
If you have questions about whether the package covers your planned area or want to discuss quantities before committing, write to us. We'll be straightforward about what it covers and what it doesn't.
What's Included
Granite paving units
Selected for consistent thickness and surface character. Suitable for a defined walkway or small terrace.
Matching edge pieces
Cut from the same stock to finish exposed edges cleanly. Included as standard — no additional charge.
Written laying guide with spacing notes
Covers base preparation, bedding depth, joint width, edge finishing, and long-term care. Plain language throughout.
Material specification sheet
Stone type, surface finish, unit dimensions, and weight per piece — useful reference during laying and if you extend the path later.
Follow-up access during and after installation
Questions at any stage of the project are welcome. We respond with specific answers, not general guidance.
What to Expect Over Time
First year
The path is level and stable. The joint material firms up over the first few weeks. Surface tone remains consistent with what was supplied. No maintenance required beyond occasional sweeping.
Two to five years
The stone develops a slightly warmer surface tone in exposed positions. Joints remain firm. Moss may establish in shaded or north-facing sections — manageable and considered appropriate by many gardeners.
Long term
A well-laid granite path shows no structural change over decades. The visual character becomes more established over time, not less. The stone gradually reads as a permanent feature of the garden — which is what it is.
On Installation Quality
The longevity of a granite path depends more on the quality of the base preparation than on the stone itself. The laying guide addresses this in detail. If the base is prepared correctly, the surface that sits on it will remain stable. We describe this honestly because it is where most long-term problems originate — not with the material.
Our Commitment
We do not assume that this package is correct for every project. Before you decide, describe your space and what you are planning. We will confirm whether the package covers it, note anything that requires additional consideration, and be direct if something else would serve you better.
If the stones arrive and there is a quality concern — thickness inconsistency beyond tolerance, surface damage during transport — we address it. Natural variation in granite is expected and communicated clearly in the specification; structural or quality issues are not.
The path you are planning deserves to be done well. We are here to help with that.
Honest pre-purchase conversation
We confirm fit before you order. If something doesn't add up, we say so.
Material accurately described
Natural variation is noted in advance. Anything beyond that tolerance is treated as a concern to resolve.
Support during installation
Questions at any point in the laying process receive specific, practical answers — not a referral to the guide you already have.
How to Begin
Dimensions of the area, what the ground is currently like, and what you are hoping to achieve with the finished path or terrace.
We respond within two working days with quantity suggestions, notes on base preparation for your ground, and confirmation of what the package includes.
There is no obligation in the enquiry. When the time is right, the path forward is short and well-described.
